Jet Ski Rentals Information

Waverunners, the trademark name of Jet Ski Rentals, are delightful, robust watercraft that rocket across Lake Erie. Operators must be 18 years of age. They offer both single and double-occupancy Jet Ski Rentals. Double Seat Waverunners are permitted passengers and rider switches so additional people can take a ride. The operator must stay the same for the entire period.

There are distinctive riding locations for jet ski rentals that are defined prior to leaving the Put-in-Bay Watercraft Rentals office. Jet Ski Rentals are priced as follows: Single Rider Jet Ski Rentals- $80 for ½ hr, $130 For 1 hr. Double Rider Jet Ski Rentals- $95 for ½ hr, $150 for 1 hr.

Stand Up Paddle Board Rentals

Stand-up Paddleboards are another fantastic way to transit Lake Erie. Ocean Kayak brand Nalu boards are easy to use but can take some training. Good balance is important; most people can get comfortable with a few short trial periods. Once you get comfortable with it, you are off to paddle along the shoreline while enjoying the sights and getting some exercise as well! Reservations are taken in the mornings, while afternoons are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Put-in-Bay Watercraft Rentals offers boats for rent as well. You and your group can rent a 12’ foot 25HP and 15’ foot (40HP)boat. Fun for the entire family. The operator must be over 18 and maintain control of the boat for the entire rental period. Take a voyage out into beautiful Lake Erie and even get a little fishing in. Rates are 1 hr for $125.

Kayak Rentals

Kayaks are consistently an excellent option when exploring Lake Erie. They deliver accessibility and comfort, effortlessly gliding through the waters. Choose from single or double kayaks for rentals by the hour. The Weight limit is 225 lbs. for experienced paddlers/swimmers in the full riding area. Beginners have a smaller and limited riding area. Single Kayaks are priced as follows: 1 HR for $26 (6 for $125), 2 HRS for $38 (6 for $200).

Double Kayaks are a weight Limit of 225 lbs. for any person and 350 lbs. total for two persons. 1 HR for $40, 2 HRS for $60.

Be sure to book your reservations at least a week early. A deposit of $100 is required for all powered watercraft. Operators must also test for Power Boats and Jet Ski Rentals. The test must be conducted before your reservation time. No refunds are offered if you cancel within seven days before your reservation.

Things to Do At South Bass State Park

South Bass Island State Park includes docks, a swimming beach, picnic areas, and playgrounds. The beach is a beautiful place to swim. The park provides an abundance of shady choices that are perfect for picnics. The docks for Put-in-Bay Watercraft Rentals are nearby. Plan a picnic after your Lake Erie experience! Primary draws there include Perry's Victory & International Peace Memorial, South Bass Island State Park, South Bass Island Lighthouse, Perry's Cave Family Fun Center, Put-in-Bay Antique Car Museum, as well as wineries and Stone Cove Beach. There are a number of eateries in the town. If using Miller Boat Line and planning to tour the island, I suggest not taking your vehicle as the wait can be very long. Options are hiring a taxi or pedicab or renting a bicycle, moped, or golf cart for 4, 6, or 8 people. The 4-person golf carts are $60 on weekdays and $70 on weekends. Expensive! Other options include a tour train and a one-destination bus.

One of the highlights of our tour to Put-in-Bay was renting Put-in-Bay Jet Ski Rentals. We used a company called Put-in-Bay Watercraft Rentals at the South Bass Island State Park. The water was a pleasant 82 degrees that day, and the Jet Ski Rentals was a blast.

If you are just going to the downtown zone for eateries and stores, there is the bus that runs from the Miller dock to the downtown village area for $3.00 each way and puts you within a short walk to Perry's Victory & International Peace Memorial.

The ferry was wheelchair accessible, and transportation options once on South Bass Island could be very restricted, depending on your mobility limitations. There is no shortage of Put-in-Bay Hotels or locations to dine on the island.

Since I had only one full day at Put-in-Bay, I focused on South Bass Island Lighthouse and Perry's Victory & International Peace Memorial because I'm a chronicler and a lighthouse preservationist. I also left plenty of time for researching, people-watching, relaxing, and dining in the town.

We had such a great time! I took my son with me to South Bass Island during the week. We brought the Miller Ferry from Catawba. They have complimentary parking close by. You will pass parking areas charging up to $5.00 before getting to the free parking. The ferry frequently runs during the summer, so we had only a short wait time for the next ferry. Based on another person's review, we rented our golf cart from Put-in-Bay Golf Carts online before we arrived. They were wonderful. Leasing a golf cart was the most reasonable way to visit the island. Parking can be problematic in the village but have patience. We had a lot of pleasure driving around the middle of the town, looking for a parking place. Perry's Monument was incredible. We had our national park credentials, so we could get in free; otherwise, taking the elevator to the top was $3.00 per individual. The views were amazing! Stop in the national park headquarters to watch the short film about the Battle of Lake Erie. I also agree with another critic that if you are family-oriented, go during the week. Prices are less than on busy weekends. We rented Jet Ski Rentals from Put-in-Bay Watercraft Rentals had a blast zipping about the lake.

A must-visit place with Jet Ski Rentals! This is a fun and exciting location to see. It is just a quick ferry ride to the island from the Port Clinton location. There are numerous items to do there. They have plenty of stores for shopping along with eateries and pubs to cater to all travelers. The state park is excellent for relaxing, and they have bathrooms readily available. You can rent a golf cart or bike to get around. We rented out Jet Skis from Put-in-Bay Watercraft Rentals. They ran well and were fun. They also have a trolley for getting about. Perry's Monument is there, and you can go to the observation deck. It is over 300 feet tall, so you can witness the island from a new perspective. Crystal Cave is an excellent site to check out. It is the biggest geode in the planet, and you get to go inside the cave. There is a Butterfly House on the island. Hotels exist so you can stay rather than visit for a day.

Stunning Day trip to South Bass Island State Park for camping and Jet Ski Rentals. The south bass island state park is primarily for camping and Put-in-Bay Watercraft Rentals. There is limited space for visitors who can unwind and appreciate the beach. Bathrooms were clean, and volleyball and food facilities were available. People were either relaxing under the shade, playing on the beach, or enjoying water activities. It's a place where you just lazily do whatever you feel like!

We spent the daytime there. It's a lovely place just to walk and take in Lake Erie. So much to do, from shopping to pubs and breweries. Would advise renting a golf cart. We tried a little bit of everything. Hotels are relatively costly on the island. I recommend staying at Port Clinton and taking the jet express to the island. This was my wife's fourth trip to South Bass Island in the past 15 years, and I have always had a fantastic time. We've been there by ourselves and twice with our children; both times, we found tons of things to do, like Jet Ski Rentals, and there is a place to rent small boats at the State Park Called Put-in-Bay Watercraft Rentals. Put in bay jet ski rentals are a blast!
