The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has done an exceptional job preserving the winery's essence, maintaining its facade and underground cellar. They have also added a spacious pavilion atop the hill and installed historic signage. Visiting the cellar is free, where you can marvel at the original casks and wine-making artifacts, as well as find seating and tables adorned with old carved initials. Additionally, the winery offers excellent restroom facilities both in the cellar and behind the main building. When you're ready to explore further, the convenient Sonny S Ferry provides easy access to Put-in-Bay.
