Scholarship Stone Labs Information On Grant

Put-in-Bay Scholarships are available for Stone Labs.  Ohio Sea Grant and Stone Laboratory will be offering six scholarships to participate in Stone Laboratory’s Field Trip program thanks to generous funding from The Andrews Foundation. The Stone Laboratory Field Trip Put-in-Bay Scholarship will include full funding for 40 people to attend a one-day field trip at Stone Laboratory (34 students and 6 adults).Put-in-Bay Stone Labs scholarship Picture

Students who are selected must be in grades 5-12 and lunch will be served at the Stone Laboratory; Ferry transportation from the Put-in-Bay Ferry in Port Clinton to Put-in-Bay Island; and Island transportation from the Miller Ferry dock located on South Bass Island to Stone Laboratory.

They will also reimburse teachers for school transportation from your school to the Miller Ferry and substitute teacher payment for the day of the field trip. The total cost will not exceed $760. Any science teachers in grades 5-12 may apply, but preference will be given to those in Northeast Ohio with the greatest financial need.

All field trips will be scheduled for September and October of 2017. How To Apply… To apply, please fill out the Stone Lab Field Trip Put-in-Bay Scholarship application by April 30th, 2017. You will receive a confirmation email once you have used it. Successful applicants will be notified by Friday, May 12th, 2017.
