Put-in-Bay Arts Council Activities & News
Put-in-Bay Arts Council Art Sale May 17th-The Put-in-Bay Arts Council is having an art sale at the Town Hall on May 17. While you’re out garage sale hopping that day, consider stopping by later in the afternoon, between 2 and 6. There will be artwork and creations from a lot of people you know! Who knows what will show up?! Donations will be accepted until the day of!
Last year we did just photographs, this year we are expanding. We are looking for any size, medium, and any number from anyone! Consider donating something under the bed (creative and artsy related), in your garage, or right off your wall; you can replace it with something new! Food is art too!
This event will benefit the arts council, and proceeds will go towards our events and planning if you want to donate or have questions, contact Marisa Rence at risrence@gmail.com or(440)371-9720. However, two things: 1) If you’re going to display your art instead of donating simply, we welcome you too! 2) We allow artists to benefit and sell their works at our Art in the Park table in the fall. More details to come!
Put-in-Bay Arts Council Happenings- We would love to get an artists’ directory of our island artists, including MBI, Kelleys, and any other “rocks.” If you want to be included, please email us at pibarts@yahoo.com or Facebook friend us and send a message! Put-in-Bay Arts Council would love to get the word out about all of our creative friends! Lastly, a few years ago, we auctioned off wine barrels.
Remember the Adirondacks? We have recently acquired numerous wooden windows from old cottages here on the island. We are looking for artists interested in picking up a window to paint, stained glass, and turn into any creation for us to auction later this summer. Contact us! We would love to do this with you! Keep posted on our website, and look out for our newsletter to be sent out in May! It will include our information, our summer schedule, how to use your input and help, and more! We are excited for another busy summer on the bay!
