Our family vacation at the Getaway Inn bed and breakfast was a delightful experience, as it was our first time staying at such a place. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy, which made our stay all the more enjoyable. Since there were four of us (two adults and two young adults), we opted for the 2-bedroom suite, which was both cute and comfortable. The breakfast served every morning was absolutely delicious. We particularly enjoyed chatting with Bill, who would visit with all the guests in the morning and provide valuable insights about the island. In the evening, we were pleasantly surprised when we found the cookie tray empty, but a kind young man promptly prepared another tray for us, which made our day. We would love to stay here again in the future.

My fiancé Bob was visiting me from Florida in Michigan. We decided to take a spontaneous overnight trip to Put In Bay, marking our first stay on the island. Upon arriving on the Jet Express Ferry from Port Clinton, we picked up our golf cart from Put-in-Bay Golf Cart Rentals and headed straight to the Getaway Inn. Instead of lugging our bag, we wanted to drop it off and explore the island. We met Danny, the friendly innkeeper, who graciously offered to hold our bag and even offered us a place to freshen up.

After taking a flight on the Ford Tri-Motor Airplane and enjoying lunch, we returned to the Inn. The decor was charming and inviting, with a lovely patio out back. They even had a walking trail in the woods behind the property with benches spaced along the path. We had reserved the Forest View Room, which was immaculately clean and had a romantic feel. We had a restful night's sleep and woke up feeling refreshed. Breakfast was served in the great room and was excellent. We were served scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, and cubed cantaloupe, all prepared to perfection. They also had juice, tea, and coffee available. We enjoyed our stay so much that we plan on returning next summer and staying several nights to explore the other islands surrounding South Bass Island. Overall, our experience at the Inn was unforgettable, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and comfortable getaway. Our go to put-in-bay bed and breakfast

This time, we stayed in the spacious Driftwood Suite with our two adult daughters, and it was perfect for the four of us. The inn is always clean, quiet, and beautifully decorated, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We rented a golf cart, which made it easy for us to get around the island, and we enjoyed the delicious home-cooked breakfasts each morning. The backyard is absolutely stunning, and we spent a lot of time out there, taking in the beauty and tranquility. On our second visit to the Getaway Inn bed and breakfast, my husband and I stayed for the 4th of July weekend. It was bittersweet, as we had brought my 80-year-old father on our first visit, and he passed away recently before he could return. He had raved about how nice and comfortable the place was. The staff was just as accommodating and welcoming as we remembered, going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, and the customer service was top-notch. Even though the visit was tinged with sadness, we still had a wonderful time and highly recommend this bed and breakfast. It deserves 5 stars.

Perfect Stay! We had the pleasure of staying at the Getaway Inn for our first trip to Put-in-Bay, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We booked our stay at Getaway Inn after coming across a news article that recommended it. The inn's location is ideal, just a short stroll away from restaurants, the Boardwalk, and nightlife. The interior of the inn is stunningly decorated, and our room on the main floor was both clean and charming. The breakfast exceeded our expectations, with a spread that included eggs, sausage, potatoes, fruit, and even some Michael Buble music playing in the background. The gardens were lovely, and we appreciated the warm chocolate chip cookies in the evening and the cozy fire pit in the backyard. We definitely plan on returning to Getaway Inn during our next visit to PIB.
